It’s twenty years since private dining club Mosimann’s opened in Belgravia, and to celebrate, founder Anton Mosimann has created a special menu for Belgravia residents.
Mosimann’s is housed in a converted Presbyterian church on West Halkin Street, and when Anton first laid eyes on the unusual building, he was determined that it would be home of his own restaurant. Because Mosimann’s was to be a private dining club, Anton had to give back his two Michelin stars that he and his team had worked so hard to achieve for the Dorchester hotel during his 13-year stint there.
Anton joined the Dorchester aged 28, but his passion for food began when he was a child. His parents’ cooking, using basic and seasonal produce, was a great inspiration to him – but his love of food has not lessened.
“I want people to say, Mosimann’s food: so simple, honest and yet so good”, he says. “For this you need the right attitude and also I believe you have to give pleasure to other people, to be excited by it, and want to do better than yesterday.”
Residents are invited to dine at the restaurant between July 15 – September 15 with a special prix fixe three-course dinner menu for £42.
